Anybody out there got any info on shortening reliant axles by removing the hub rather than pulling them out at the dif end

Which ever is your selected method, you're going to need to strip the axle and hubs in order to cut the axle tube, or tubes, and similarly the half shaft or shafts. I have posted pics of the way I shorten them before,and I favour cutting , linering, and welding the shortened tubes rather than removing the tubes complete, due to the poss. of damaging the diff. casings on replacing same, they are becoming scarce!! but if you can't locate the previous posts I can send you pics etc, Morrag
