So the trike is coming along but was being badly let down by a dented and rusting front mudguard. No problem I thought I'll just undo the four bolts and sort it out. Hah,think again, three bolts came undone the fourth was a right pig and the nut rounded off....git!!!! Thinks.......get a nine mm spanner and a file and make the nine mm fit. So that's what I did and .......... The bloody thing rounded off again Grrrrrrrrrrr.
Did I panic? I did not. So off with the forks.
What did you do then k? I hear you ask.
One eureka moment later I found a 17mm nut welded it on the 10mm nut and presto, the combination of a decent nut and the heat from the welding and out it came. Result so now I can clean up the rust sort out the dent respray and back on it goes.
