do you ever get the feeling you are being pushed in a certain direction Undecided just recently I have lost my mojo with regards to motorcycles  Cry before anyone ask's I have NO plans to sell any of the bikes/projects I currently have.
but during my hunting around for parts for my Pop I have accumulated several piles of 4 wheel relevant stuff and seem to have "in stock" 1 Ford Pop front axle, 1 Ford Y front  and 1 rear axle, all the relevant springs, shackles and A arm's for the Y stuff, 1 pair of converted Spitfire hubs complete with 15 inch Hillman Minx wheels and 2cv tyres, I rear MGB salisbury axle with a pair of Austin A55 15 inch wheels and brand new 195x15 tyres and one complete rolling chassis off a Pop with one of those split front axles.... Outside in the yard I have a complete Reliant Kitten rolling chassis which a mate and me are going to turn into a trials special and will be fitting the MGB rear axle to it.. so I will soon have a spare Reliant axle as well...
Well the Reliant will be fun to do and good to practice on but it doesn't strike the right note as too age...(independant front suspension) Now I fully place the blame for this latest interest firmly at Odgie's feet... since the Shedster build and more recently the CX powered Austin 7 racer... I have desired an old timer type racer..
Now I have this pile of spare part's sitting there looking at me and I quite fancy building an old Ford sidevalve powered special..... so it looks like once the Pop is out of the barn I will be looking around for a Pop or a Y chassis (the spare one I have has been butchered  Cry) and an old 100e motor and box... so the cycle begin's again.....

So who out there is building anything a little different??
Morrag I see you mention a 3 wheeler morgan style, have you started it yet?? I may well cut the Kitten up once I find a Ford chassis and turn that into a Reliant powered 3 morganesque wheeler....

I have projects coming out my ear holes at the moment, and like you no real desire to part with anything. I have two cars i am concentrating on at the moment and indeed have been for some time, A Marlin trials car and a Sporting car trialer.
The Sporting car is the remnants and some components of the Shelsley bug a slightly different spec to normal spurting trialer  based around reliant engine and box and now sporting a Modified Austin 10 front axle with
various Ford Triumph  Austin Devon parts thrown in for good measure.  If you Google it you will find info on the car in its original specifications and in time my attempts to develop it to my liking and hopefully my reincarnation will be as successful as the original or even dare i say an improvement, I am enjoying this build so much it as been made easy for me by the kind donation of the chassis and a few key components that have allowed a fast build, keeping motivation at a constant high. Not getting bogged down with complications in design and just adapting and where possible strengthening or replacing parts  that keep close to the original  set up, have further ensured good progress to date.
The Marlin trialer on the other hand as been a pain, many power plant transmission changes and mods keeping inside class 7 spec for ACTC have, had us doing more u turns than we ever thought possible, even now The final engine choice a 1380cc kent crossflow has raised a few eyebrows of those in the know at trials, I have been OTT  at weight reduction alloy and more alloy hole cut and minimalistic approach have i beleave created as light a class 7 marlin as as ever been known and if the weak link the nut behind the wheel hold up, should put in a good result or two, time will tell.
Other projects include a Rickman Ranger again set for trials use and much lightened but again class 7 eligable. , and a Prefect sit up and beg nearly complete that will, see road use regularly and may be trials use in class 0.
Bikes at the moment sherco trials just a stock 03 model, and a XT600E i will be modifying to a sort of supermoto/ sprinter/ streetfighter road registered probably wont be competitive but i will enjoy doing it.
Future plans i want a Austin Devon will be keeping it sort of striped but standard looking MGB engine and try staying very much BMC mechanicals a sort of British style late 60s early 1970s style rod the sort of rat rod before they were called rat rods car, cheap skate custom i suppose, that term cheap skate sort of sums me up quite well. .

I'm getting more and more into car trials vehicles, a chap local to me Duncan runs a real cool little Sprite trials car and I often pop into his garage for a chat, he built a Reliant regal 3 wheel trials car awhile ago that I wanted to buy off him but as usual no cash when sale time comes.. do you have pictures of your 2 trials cars on here? and the Prefect as well??
I'm loving this special sitting behind Odgies Shedster..

I read somewhere recently that the only problem being a petrol head is never enough space, time or money....

I have started the '3 Wheeler' Shaun, just! Laid the 50x25 mm chassis out, finished the rear suspension set up today, and now awaiting the Spitfire front end that has been donated by another Mank. stalwart!so things are moving, albeit very slowly! once I have something worth photographing, I shall post some pics. The motor is also ready to go, and converted to single, large S.U.I love S.U.'s The rear wheel I have overhauled, and is a 16" Honda GL item, so that's another "bit" prepared, but like most of us, I'm easily waylaid! and currently have my '65 T100 "Trumpet", "on half" having started a cosmetic referb. a while ago, as is my '69 Suzuki Alta trialer, which I rode in competition back in the '60's, but it will be done?( hopefully) I also have a Reliant Engine/Box unit, a shortened Reliant axle converted to discs, thats done, and all the frame tubing bent up, but on hold at pres. due to a change in direction regarding 3 wheeler type/spec! Then there's my MOV Velecette, a 1935 ex.sprinter, gearbox rebuilt in 1983! frame shotblasted and ready! but no further progress, where did all that time go? and of course, my very modern SV 650,which I bought myself last year for my birthday,as the wife refused to,and which I try to find time to ride as often as time and weather allow, oh and then there's......... enough already! so busy, what busy! hope I have sufficient milage left in me to complete the course!! whatever, Morrag

The Marlinsare   road going as is the rickman but the Sporting trialers are minimalistic to the extreme.  I cant use photobucket, when i try to cut and paste the image code, when i right click it i get a settings not highlighted and under that global settings and under that image info. no way can i make it go blue to cut and paste. Rubbish with computers me.
