If you're a regular here, you might know that my missus Tazet & I live in a cottage in the grounds of Clandon Park, near Guildford in Surrey. Taz runs the stable yard & the house goes with the job.
Anyway, the big 'ouse, Clandon House, is owned by the National Trust, who put on various visitor events throughout the year.
I was at the garden centre on the estate this morning when a military band pulled in, in a mini bus. Odd.
Turned out a group of Harley riders were parading through the estate & meeting up with a military re-enactment group who were camped on the lawn in front of the house. Something to do with an anniversary of the Surrey Regiment, who's museum is in the house.
The weather this morning was absolutely foul & I didn't envy the guys riding, or the group marching. I always carry a camera in my car, so stood in the pouring rain & snapped them as they went past the garden centre. I should've gone up to the house & got some pics of the re-enactment group on the main steps, but it was just too wet.
Riders in the rain.
