I know you like looking at pictures so here are some of my old outfits I have dug out and scanned. Apologies if you go on BTW cos I put them there as well Smiley

My first outfit, me and a mate made the sidecar from as a sort of trials jobby and of course mated it to the most suitable bike ever made for sidecar work. A KH400 2 stroke triple. Some say this is why I ended up such a lunatic on outfits, I was just sorry I never had a KH500 available Smiley

The I decided to stay with 3 cylinder but get something a bit less manic, XS750 4 stroke triple, oh yeah I upgraded to a Squire child/adult chair as well Smiley

The came the best I ever had, Black Betty a 1980 XS1100, absolutely mint when I got it. Sold my 3.0 Capri to raise the cash for it but worth every penny. We did lost of miles all over France and the UK. I kept the child adult sidecar but aquired a second body that I adapted for camping by cutting off the roof and glassing it in as a boot lud to make a single seater.

Somewhere in France after the Le Mans 24 hours stopped for a smoke on the way to Euro Disney

Stopped for another smoke in Dieppe, those Gitanes and black coffee really kept you going through the night Smiley

This is the trim that had us beat a supposedly race prepped VFR750 up the mountain from Bandol to Le Castelet while at the Bol. In the winning attempt there was nothing in the sidecar except the beer we had bought at the supermarche in Bandol and my mate who hung right out over the seat and over the wheel. It was a shame I didn't realise the plastic marker posts on the inside were actually metal marker posts until I was back on the circuit. I mistook the screams for shout of joy Smiley

Big advantage of sidecars (apart from the fact you can frighten solo bike riders and car drivers to death) is what you see behind me in this shot was my biking tent when it wasn't weekenders, full 4 berth canvas frame tent with 2 bedroom and living area. Also had 4 deck chairs and a table to eat at Smiley

Another advantage when you didnt have the 'Full' kit was I always had a nice comfy bucket seat to sit on. The guy sat on the right was my winning sidecar passenger when we really embarrased the VFR, he was still speaking to me afterwards even though his helmet was trashed Smiley

Unfortunately, so far I haven't found any pics with Betty in her racing fairing with the leading links but here is one of her looking sorry for herself with the leading links. She was looking sorry because the tread on the rear Avon vintage car tyre had decided it did not like prolonged speeds over 100mph on this occasion and feeled off. Unfortunately when it peeled it decided to take the rear brake lines and wiring with it and almost took the pillion as well  Roll Eyes

Eldest daughter Mike, her name is Kirstine. She will be 39 this year though so not uite the same now Smiley

She is in a few of them as she went all over with me, thats her sat on the bike in Dieppe. She has worked at Tarmac office for a few years now and before that was at RMC at Dove Holes for quite a while. She used to like a drink or two though (dunno who she took after  Roll Eyes ) so you may have seen her in a boozer somewhere Smiley

OAB I will have a look tonight and sort some out and emails them over. Problem I have at the moment is I have a box about 2 foot by 18 inches and about 18 inches high thats full of old pictures. Will take ages to get them all looked at never mind scanned in as well. The ones here were from the first few packets, I should have loads but until I look I dont know what there is. I was a bit miffed I hadn't found any yet with the 'racing' fairing, only got the ones with the Pantera fairing on the 1100 so far. Will do my best to get you some over but if they dont appear then please nag me because I really do have a terrible memory (ask Pete it took me months to send him something Sad )
