All in all, although there was only 2 hours of racing, a damn good day.
Only one casualty. While being towed back to the pits, with Lesley, (Black Pig), at the wheel, the Chevy tow car stopped -& Black Pig Too didn't. The front end ploughed straight into the Chevy's rather substantial rear bumper, twisting the Pig's front axle & bending the steering arm.
It's now got a considerably tighter turning circle than it used to have. Not a lot of use in a sport where pointing in a straight line's a priority.
Having just achieved a personal best run, Steve was philoshophical about it -not a big problem, I'll make another by next weekend.

If you've never been to a drag meet, I'd thoroughly recommend it. I'll be back at Shakespeare County Raceway in September for the Hotrod Drags.
