Also lifted the engine out and finished touching up the frame and dropped the handle bars off ready for the new ones.

New battery fitted. Most bike batteries are dry charged, this means that when you buy one, you will have the job of filling it with acid, they also benifit from a quick boost from a charger, if you have one.

I hate polishing!!!!! Thats why I don`t do chrome. I love the look of it, but it`s too much work for me! Look at my shiny engine case though!

new bars arrived yesterday, time was getting on before i had chance to fit them though.
14" rise, makes the whole bike look bigger than it is.

Had a good day on the spanners today, I`d forgotten how much i enjoy getting my hands dirty! no doubt my back will be reminding me later!
Everything put back on, engine tinkered with and running.

side mounts always look like they`re an afterthought, like you`ve just finished the build and thought "bugger I`ve forgotten the bloody numberplate and light, oh just stick it on there that`ll do". I know there are some out there with a lot of work put into them but I just can`t see the point when you`ve got a perfect place for it right at the back. Grin Grin Grin Grin
