not been with you guys for long ,but as I've been trawling through the posts , old & new, there is one common factor which shines out which makes me feel humbled & proud to be a part of & it's something that ya don't find much these days......GENEROCITY!

without exception, everyone is helpful. freely giving advice where they can, those who have practical ability will offer their services to others whenever they can, those that are able to redistribute unwanted items within this community without the urge to make a quick buck at others expense. good old fashioned values which i'm affraid are missing from society today.........i just hope that when the time comes i'm able to step up to the plate and be as giving as the rest of y'all!

GREAT BIG PAT ON THE BACK TO ONE AND ALL Cool Cool Cool

Yep, bus boy's not wrong. It really is a good site. Really helpful people and a much needed laugh at times.

As for paying things forward I had a puncture on the back tyre of the 535 a little while back. Phoned home to let Mrs. k know what had happened and to get her to phone school for me. In the time I was there three bikers stopped to make sure that I was ok and to see if they could help out. I was given a lift home by someone in their car which saved a hell of a walk, where I was there's no bus service! A couple of days later I was just going out on the bike when a lady who had been visiting someone around here was struggling to change a flat tyre. She really was clueless (NOT sexist just stating a fact) so I got my trolly jack out and changed the tyre for her. One good turn and all that.

So a big thanks to Andy and Tanya for all that they do and a big thanks to everyone for making the site what it is.

Regards
K

Agree with everything that has already been said by others. From my own experience of this site, its not just mechanical knowledge, or ideas, or help with parts etc.

I have had, shall we say, a "rough" couple of years. the kind words i recieved from Andy and T-Bone to name a couple, helped more than i think these guys know.

Being here is like having a great big extended family.

Regards

Shucks, tis nuthin'  Grin
Nice to see you back Mark.  Wink
Any fluffiness here is down to the people who inhabit this little world of Mank -you lot.
I'm not religious in any way, but there's a bit in the bible -y'know Jesus' best selling autobiography -about giving & not expecting anything in return. That's kinda the way I see it. Help others when you can, but don't do it just because you're hoping for repayment, do it because it'll help a fellow builder out. If I've got a part sat on the shelf in the shed doing nothing, & someone else can make use of it, then why not bung it in the post to them.
We're very lucky to have such a genuinely nice bunch of monkeys here. Haven't met a bad one yet.
Her 24/7 workload means Taz doesn't get much chance to call in here these days, but she says to send you all a big slobbery kiss on the nose.
Keep spreading the Manky word people.  Kiss
