Just had this email from Scouse Mick. His trike's featured in the Motors, 3 wheels section of the main site.

Mick's Pan Euro trike

Seems he's having a few running probs.
Anyone got any ideas to help the lad out so he can get back to enjoying our good ol' British Summertime?

Hiya Andy,
Greetings from the 'Pool, land of good humour and trikes that don't feckin' work proper! Yep, I'm after some advice.
Remember I said I'd sorted the fuel starvation problem after several, weary, miserable months? well, I was wrong,
From day one I had probs, it would run a mile or two, then die, wait a while and it'd start only to stop again soon after. We decided the fuel pump needed sorting/cleaning. All seemed well, then it'd ok for 10 mile, 20 mile even 70 mile and the same would happen. Plugs were renewed, coils, leads checked, CDI unit checked, all seemed ok, did the NABD do in Cheshire, and it just went altogether! B*lloxed! While all this was happening I'd find it only running on 3 cylinders, but it would never be the same cylinder, it would hop from 1 to another, some times 2 cylinders wouldn't fire, changing the plugs around, putting new ones in, cleaning them, seemed to initially work, but after a while...........the same, just wouldn't run right!

Contacted the guy who built it, Steve Shaw in Middlesborough, who came all the way down here to try and sort it. By this time I had petrol pouring out of one carb. But no joy. Since then I've replaced the float bowl and float in the offending carb, and there no more petrol loss, but yesterday after it ran on all 4 cylinders, I lost 1, cleaned and changed the plugs around and now I've lost a cylinder on each side.
The carbs have been stage 3 dynojetted, and the jets in them at the moment are 140`s, I've tried on lean, rich and inbetween with ref the needle mixture settings. I had 'em ultra sonically cleaned.

I was convinced it was the carbs, but now I'm not so sure, any ideas? Know anyone who can advise? "ignition pulse generator"? does that sound a likely suspect, I know we didn't check that way back when all this nightmare started.
Hope you can help, and I hope all's well in the world of Manky Monkey Motors -can't be any where near as bad as it is here at "s**tty Scouse Feckin Crappy Non Workin' Trike Motors".

Speak to you soon , if you can help you`ll be the best mate any good livin` scouser could have, etc.

                                                 Cheers, Mick.
