Copied with permission from the NSRA site.

Sunday 28th September 2008. Surrey Street Rodders Hot Rod Picnic.
The starting place for the Hot Rod Picnic will be Newlands Corner on the A25 between West Clandon and Gomshall.
The actual address is Drove Road, West Clandon, Guildford GU4 8SE
The Cafe will be open from 09:00, so I guess that's it, 09:00 start time!

From the A3 get on to the A25 just north of Guildford, head east and it's at the top of the F@*%$#g great hill after West Clandon cross roads, you can't miss it. From the east get on the A25 and it's at the top of the F@*%$#g great hill after Gomshall!

A good few hours of narrow lanes, cow s~@t, sunshine and Surrey splendour, finishing with a bite to eat and drink. Now you know it's what you really want!
More details nearer the time.
Whiff.

My directions.

A3 get off at the Ripley/Send junction. When you get to a small roundabout turn down West Clandon. (if you are coming from the West you will turn right and the East you turn left) Follow all the way through West Clandon till you hit the traffic light systen at the end and you go straight over and up a hill. Newlands corner is at the very top.

If you are coming from Leatherhead driection you get on the A246 towards Guildford and when you hit the Traffic light system at the bottom of West Clandon you turn Left, (signed A25 to Dorking)
If you are coming from Guildford then follow the Signs for A25 Dorking and this also takes you to the Traffic Lights at the bottom of West Clandon. You turn Right.

If you are coming from the south the follow the signs for the A25 to Guildford and as Whiff said it's just after Gomshall at the top of the hill (will be on your left)

**
They are aiming to meet up at 9am ready to leave at 10. The run has been kept secret but you will be stopping somewhere for lunch then on to the final destination. Sounds like it could be fun. We will be there armed with our cameras. No excuse for this one as it's practically on our doorstep.

I'd forgotten you'd mentioned the autojumble Rick. Half expected you to be at the Picnic.
Yeah, was a really enjoyable day out. As someone on the NSRA forum said, so much more interesting than just looking at static vehicles in a muddy field. Would've been even more fun if we'd had a hotrod of our own to take part in. Next year. A really nice bunch of people too. Someone had a count up & reckoned there were 42 cars on the run.
Derek's American style diner truck was a lovely looking thing & the burgers & chips, (provided free by the Surrey Street Rodders crew), were excellent. Derek's spent the last 10 weeks building the truck & it's diner trailer -look for it at events soon.
