Our pc went bang tonight so I am posting this from my mrs's laptop. It has been overheating and we put it down to the fan being shagged, but it went up in a cloud of smoke earlier.
Just what we need before xmas, but I will still have limited access to the net untill we get the pc sorted.

I set fire to my laptop. The power-in lead was knackered. Had to wigggle it to make contact. I j-j-jiggled it once too often & smoke started billowing out of it.

I thought the hard drive was fried, but luckily it was just the mother board. I bought another tower with all the gubbins in for 30 quid, and put in the old hard drive. Its a bit slower, but it works.  Smiley
