While out and about today, Manky & I called at Janie and Dave's house to drop off a roof rack for Janie's Dad, Jacko. Dave was working on this little bike which hopefully I can use when I get round to doing my bike test.

RS125?

My first bike was an RXS100, very similar and great fun to ride!

Yup, RS Bobbi.
Dave got it for nothing & was aiming to get it back on the road for less than 100 quid. He's just reached the 100 mark & probably got another 50 or so to spend, so a megabuck project! Brand new battery, 5 quid. Rebore, new piston & rings, 27 quid etc.
Dave's recommendation for cleaning the gummy residue of old petrol from carbs & tanks -Cillit Bang bathroom cleaner, (a kind of bleach). The carb parts looked like new.
I think Dave Satan's selling an RS isn't he?

Collecting bits ATM with a view to rebuilding.  It was such a fun bike I couldn't bear to part with it, I want to put it back on the road and try riding it just locally.  Being so light I reckon my leg could cope with it, and the gear change is almost effortless so that might be ok too.

Remains to be seen how I feel about being on 2 wheels tho!

We followed Shaun's Panther through Tunbridge at the weekend. Smoked more than any 2 stroke. When we lost sight of him in the traffic we just followed the billowing smoke clouds. Tongue
