Long time since I posted anything. Here is an update on my 68 Charger. As some of you know, I have moved to Malta & brought the Charger with me. In the 3 years we have been here I have only driven it a few times. It has been in the workshop for a while now getting some much needed body repairs. The whole boot floor has been cut out & replaced & a new roof skin is now getting fitted. I have registered it over here & the new reg number is = HOT 068. As a classic car I have to paint it an original colour, I'm thinking of gloss black or possibly the original dark green. I had to change the cylinder heads as the compression was too high for the crap petrol, so I have fitted a pair of ally heads now + I might fit Wilwood discs on the front. I also have a Daytona body kit that might get fitted next year. When we moved here we brought the Charger & Sally's 70 Coronet with us. but have gone a bit mad since. Sally now has a 1957 Dodge Custom Royal that we got off Ebay in Florida. I have a 68 Coronet drag racing car we got from the UK + a 93 Dodge day van to tow it + a few other vehicles. Anyone on Facebook can see the pics on our race team page, https://www.facebook.com/Beehive-Rac...5829130834244/.
Hope you all had a great Xmas & new year. Dave & Sally.

'ello stranger!
Great to hear you're doing so well over there. Sounds like you've cornered the market in Mopars! Is the Maltese drag racing scene still big? Are there many classics on the roads -when I last visited, at least 25 years ago, there were still old Brit motors driving about with no doors, bonnets etc, & plenty of the classic Maltese buses.
Have you heard we'll be losing Shakespeare County Raceway this year, (gone for new housing). That's where Tazet & I first met you in the Charger. Seems a long time ago Smiley

Can't believe you've been over 3 years.

Andy. The drag racing scene is getting bigger over here. We now have the European finals here (starting this year). The old buses have gone now. Replaced with modern 1s. The classic & american car scene is huge, but most are now what we call "sunday cars". There are loads of Mustangs & Corvettes here, but more Mopars are coming over. There are 4 gen 2 Chargers, my 68, 2 General Lee 69s & 1 70.
