Wow !! I have lived close to that place and have heard that something was found. How come when I go foraging I seem to end up with a bag of old nails and a pair of rotten wellies.

Where I was born there is an endless whisper that the yanks buried a load of Harley engines and spares in a field close to Slapton ley, I've walked those fields for years, as has many others, never found more then a rusty tin and a few spent .303 shells. The old folk are all dying now, so it may never be discovered.

Is that where there was a big friendly fire incident with the yanks before D day?
