i have friend who is restoring a 1965 lancia fulvia (hope thats how you spell it) anyhoo it's fitted with twin solex side draft carbs ,can any one of you helpfull chaps point me in the right direction on how to tune them. he got a banencer but can't find out which screws do what or if it needs jet changes

No, the fuel is had twin sidedraughts, like weber/ delortos. I have a pair here somewhere. Spares and jets unobtainable, but they last forever.
Assuming the engines not being modified you shouldn't need to do anything other than float levels and idle mixture. If you need any bits let me know.

Re-read the original post. balancing is external. Set float heights, set centre balancing screw, then idle mixture, then idle speed.
