Sounds like good news but I can't help wondering if the government will then put all sorts of restrictions on 'historic vehicles'.

That's always been our ( ACE) concern . No MOTs for the NEW definition of Historics is under discussion currently , only 30 years old and totally standard.

Is it true that in eu countries that have this the vehicles in question are heavily restricted in use Mr Kapri sir ?

Many are restricted as to distance from home , or miles traveled per year. Also so countries you have to lodge a travel plan several weeks before using the vehicle ! Also in EU cities that have emission zones they ARE allowed in but have to have a 'passport' that confirms that they are totally standard.
