I need a narrow beam axle and it needs to be light as possible, used to make up light beam axles using Hillman imp stub axles and the worked well imp stuff is rare though now.

   Any suggestions on a suitable option for stub axles, or a beam axle off a old 30s type motor. I have a pop 103 e sit up and beg front axle but it is a it heavy and wanted it for spares for my prefect, but if needs must i will hack it about.

  I maybe did not explain myseld very well, Stub axles to fit a made up beam axle, needs to be light, what old cars had stub axles like the imp in sise weight etc.

Probably worth having a word with my brother Brock or CunningPlan, they being our resident drag car builders.  Mr Brock may even have a spare Pop beam, though not sure if it had the hubs on.

i have a morris dropped beam axle narrower and a bit lighter than pop  will swap for your pop axle
also as so many people are triking reliants what about the front stub axles off them

 If you type in to google sporting car trials look at the average front axles you will get an idea what i am after. The old imp stubs were spot on size weight the lot, reliants are in truth a bit heavy as are pops but about passable just. I want super low weight at the front especially.

I picked up a pair of A40 Devon front trunion/ hub assemblys today, i will make some side plates and see how it turns out.

This is for a sporting car trialer, the dellows did and still do see use in pcts Production car trials and classic trials long distance trials like the Lands end Edinburgh trial etc.
     I think Dellows fetch strong money that is when they come up for sale. Many more affordable options out there like the Marlins and other popular kit cars that are eligible.
    Remember unless you get a car with an existing registration etc, you will need to submit the car for IVA Individual vehicle approval this costs over 400 quid and anther smaller fee for retest if it fails.
   Not a smooth road to happy motoring as i see things, avoid it like the plague and my advice only buy a car with registration etc.

I have a kitten chassis which does have a V5 if the old owner can find it or at least what it's reg was... but I would probably buy in a chassis or something with a V5... still thats a long way off as I need to finish the Pop first...
