If ya fancy a day at the seaside and don't mind watching cars and bikes thrash along Maderia Drive (legally at speeds up to about 180mph), then how's about popping along to Brighton for the annual Speed Trials.

The event first ran around 1905, and nowadays is a 1/4 mile sprint.

There are around 50 odd bikes from 1920's to turbo Busas, and a car entry list of around 200.

Cheers y'all

There's nowt as light as a hole, so add lightness.

Nitro doesn't add power, it multiplies it! Bob Loux, running 10.07 secs @138mph on a 650 normally aspirated Triumph drag bike in 1965!

Went there a couple of years ago when visiting Mum, was only a tenner to get in, you can get to see all the cars and bikes up close and view the racing from above.
Great day out.
