Guildford Cruise photos

A few snapshots from yesterday evening's Guildford Cruise. The cruise runs throughout the Summer on the first Sunday of the month. Custom & classic cars & bikes gather outside the Burger King restaurant on the Ladymead retail park, off the A3 as it passes through the centre of Guildford, Surrey, from around 4.30pm onwards. Numbers fluctuate according to the weather, with last night's meeting fielding maybe 2 or 3 dozen assorted cars.

We always forget it's on. It's just an informal evening get-together once a month.
Used to be absolutely huge years ago, with a rock n roll DJ performing in the 50s themed Burger King every month. Then unfortunately the numpty hatchback boys moved in, causing trouble with the local coppers with racing up the dual carriageway outside, wheelspins & generally beings pillocks. It all got out of hand & the genuine cruisers started staying away, until it eventually petered out.
Efforts are being made though to bring it back. The 50s theme's been replaced with a "cool" coffee bar type Burger King, but we're there for the cars, not the food.
Support your local cruise -they go on all over the place, so check the 'net for one in your area -or get together with your mates & start your own. No, we're
not
organising one!

It was a gorgeous evening yesterday, I didn't want to go home. Hopefully the classic & custom vehicles will slowly come back.
