I've never tried Kindle -is that an actual tablet thing, or an app?

You can download the app to your phone or tablet, or you can use an actual reader like the Amazon kindle. Amazon are currently offering 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for just a one off payment of 99p. Real bargain if you like to read. This gives you access to loads of books. Normally it's £7.99 a month. I don't spend much on myself but I do like my books.

I read a lot anyway, but I been poorly over Christmas so when not sleeping I read. Read at least 5 books since Christmas Eve and I'm still going strong.

Just another point Andy, you can also borrow digital magazines. Best read on something with colour because as far as I know most e-readers are b/w. I always read the mags on my tablet.

Interesting. I only have a Smartphone -not even a laptop any more, but need to find a cheap tablet for transferring photos between my phone & my old hard drive, (if I hook the 2 directly together it downloads all the photos onto my phone & crashes it).
