What is it about this country that says we are mugs? Before christmas me an the wife went off to Bath for a short break, took my tomtom so as not to stress 'er out looking at the map or the b&b address. It came on and the died, locked up. No worries, call in to Halfrauds and by a new on, which we did, and found the place, no issues. Before coming home, tried setting our home postcode in - it didn't exist apparently. So we called back with the shop, spent ages, to be told "you'll have to update the software before they (tomtom) can help" the problem is we don't have a pc, just phones and ipads, so this won't work. The guy in the shop said you have to update the software - i said it should work out of the box - "but the map could be out of date" yes said I thirty years, that postcode's allways existed! No way could he see that an out of date map was his or Tomtoms problem "they all do that" Anyway, money back today.. Swmbo's astra has a sticky open thermostat, so, get a new genuine one says I - £90, yes £90 quid later and its in the box on the kitchen table - guess what, no O ring! No probs, just ask for one - another £11 on top would you believe? But why not put it in the box? "They're listed seperately" was his answer... Not be buying a Vauxhall to replace my old ZT
