anyone with a reliant trike, question. do you have much smoke/steam that comes out of the breather cap? is it pretty constant? do you have the standard cap, modded or a pipe down the frame to the deck to loose it?
only asking because i can see smoke/steam coming from mine. i have set up another bottle on the side of my frame with a tube from the modded breather (right angled with no filter/gauze in it) going into the top and a small hole to let out pressure. i done this so i could check to see what/how much stuff came out after my head gasket change. as i ride i can see smoke coming out the hole i drilled and wanted to check this is normal before i run a pipe down the frame and forget about it  Smiley

Is it smoke or steam ?
Before replacing my head gasket, I could set fire to the vapour coming out of mine, like a Bunsen burner  Shocked. Now there is very little coming out of the standard breather (nothing visible) and is connected to the carb.

After much time / experimentation re-routing the rocker cover breather pipe , I reverted back to connecting the rocker cover breather hose directly to the spout on the side of the carb , as per early Robins .

The rocker cover breather pipes on my V8 are routed back into the air filter. Works fine.
