Can anyone tell me what the rules are. I have been bidding on a front end and buyer contacted me wanting a certain price said if it didn't reach that price it would go back in. There is no reserve on the auction.

Unfortunately this sort of thing happens. We have even won items only for the seller to refuse to sell at the winning price. Nothing you can do but accept that there are prats out there. You can complain to ebay or if you are the winning bidder leave negative feedback stating exactly what happened to warn future buyers but that's it!

Cheers for that. There is another option as it's on sale on another site so could contact him there and go round there and tell him what I really think face to face the sellar is local.

I'd let it go. Life is too short to get upset about this sort of thing.

I don't, and won't, get involved in bidding wars,
If there is an item i want, i decide how much i want to pay,
And place my bid six seconds before item ends,If i win it i win it,If i don't i don't,
There are plenty more of what you want just waiting to be listed.

i have a feedback score on eBay of 399, all good. but i bet iv done over a thousand, just sold a van, no ones gonna bid 11 grand without viewing, so i just sell it direct and cancel the listing saying lost or broken   .no fee to pay. they make plenty out of me on other sales tho. i also start items with the least I'm willing to take so if only one bid I'm happy and so is the buyer. start em on a free listing weekend too, saves a few quid.
