May be cheaper to buy a complete engine.

years ago i stripped a moggie 1000, engine that had a real bad miss-fire and low compression on one pot ,, to discover it had a ,wooden,,piston with a bit of steel on top ,
it had been recently purchased from a well known (locally) dodgy garage ,,

went to a motorcycle dealer, he said that i nead a new barrel, piston and rings, head gasket set.
and then he said i would nead to do both cylinders and i would have to renew all the bottom end as well,
so i would be beter of bying a new engine, niether of which is an option i can undertake at the moment.
got a potential buyer for bike as is stands so i will go down that root.
