yeh,the old d series i drove all over the uk,england ireland,scotland wales and brussells  (one off) a four wheeler with a tilt body and a pod on top of the cab.

it ,,was,,, my other  wonderland  taken on the day of the sale when everything left in the yard went under the hammer .
i used her as part of my work then sort of inherited/took her on when i built the firm a newer wrecker on a foden chassis
when it cam to the weel of the sale i,d just split up (badly) with the ex missis and didnt have anywhere to take the old wrecker so since it couldnt stay there it went in the sale.
it was at BOYDONS yard at winkhill between the green man and waterhouses on the leek to asbourne road i spent a good ten years there,
they closed up after just 100yrs in busiuness all because a family cousen wanted his share of the cash that was tied up in the company   

 a bloody good old fashioned family firm went to the wall because of him,,
