Reasonable looks but just like modern retro Triumphs, it's become rather stodgy and gained a lot of weight (470 lb curb weight). That and being water cooled ruin it for me.
Last year I bought a Mash Von Dutch 500. Air cooled single, curb weight of only 333 lbs, plus it has both electric and kick start. Yes I would like a real gold Star or my old RGS back, but prices are through the roof these day and this retro suits this old man. |

Here’s the new 2022 BSA Gold Star.
For those of a certain age, the name BSA may bring back memories of bikes made by the Birmingham Small Arms................. Singles, twins and towards the end even a triple, with the name Gold Star perhaps tied in with the cafe racers. Nowadays the current owner of the BSA brand is Mahindra, and this is the 2022 Gold Star. I’ve tried looking for the right foot gear lever, kick starter and de-comp lever, but no luck spotting them so far – ha ha... So what do fellow MMM folk think of it, letters on a postcard etc etc https://www.bsacompany.co.uk/bsa-gold-star/ https://sumpmagazine.com/classicbikenews/index.htm https://www.devittinsurance.com/blog/first-look-2022-bsa-gold-star/ http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=16679.0 http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=17380.0 |

Nearly all of it ended up with the scrapman, due to rot and bodged repairs. Both a-posts and associated areas were mainly fibreglass.
