My latest project, a guitar with 'Stubbs the Zombie' (A video game 'star') on. Also decided to do it in time lapse video form, please feel free to critique it!! Post by: Clive on August 05, 2010, 08:50:05 PM No mate, I've got a drawing board and frame that I've replaced the board on, with a sheet of MDF that I drilled a series of holes in! It then means that I can hold anything I'm painting on it using bolts in the holes, at whatever angle I need them!
Just need a bit of a re-arrange to get the camera a bit closer, and further to the right so you don't get so many shots of my best side!!! :D Although, I'm going to try out a helmet cam at the weekend to see how that works when painting!!! Flat-ish, with curved edges (??) Shows off paint effects by letting the light catch it from different angles to just a flat surface!! Dragons, and all that, so that is now taking priority over even the couple of paying jobs I've got to do!
Need to do a bit of research on what clearcoat to use, as these have a bit of 'flex' in them, and I want to do a great job for this brave lad. Any ideas? (Kinda looking towards Loony here!!) Got this finished today (well the artwork!), and ready for my clearcoater to work his magic on it with the clear!! Unfortunately the customer wanted some of the original artwork left on, so had to work the rest around it! Also, the board was too big to paint the predator at the bottom in the shed, so had to turn it upside down and paint it up the wrong way!! Actually works really well, as all you're doing is painting shapes!!!!!
