Hi Folks

Hydraulic banjo bolt pressure switch works well, or a tee with a brake pressure switch somewhere in line. Later bikes have a built in switch in the front brake lever.  For the rear, mechanical switches are OK but can be prone to moisture problems and adjustment issues.
I use a banjo bolt switch for the front brakes as I used a clutch lever/master cylinder.

Hydraulic switches are by far the best mines been on for the whole life of the trike and never had a problem.
