Title: steering stem nut

would any one know of a nice domed chrome nut to replace the flat steering stem nut on a ST 1100

There may be one available from another bike which might be difficult to source or identify. I think you would need to make/have made one from stainless.

Perhaps a big Honda cruiser like the Valkyrie. Or a cover to go over the existing nut.

That's what i was thinking, cant find anything like it. And what i can find its in the USA and they want far to much for shipping, to much of a gamble for it not to fit. I'll have to try and find someone to make one if i'm lucky.

Think the top nut is 30mm or 32mm AF. Big truck wheel nuts are about these sizes so you should be able to get chromed plastic covers but they might be a bit tall. Plus I doubt they'd be cheap.  :-\

Handrail end cap something like one of these should cover it. Perhaps not from these people though.
