I know you can buy PTFE lined fuel hose, which is Ethanol proof, but carb needles & plastic floats could be a problem

Yup, ethanol causes plastic to expand - a lot of people whose bikes tanks were plastic had problems with it some years ago.

I think the Holly carb on my truck has plastic floats & possibly rubber or nylon tipped needles. I guess if I'm keeping it permanently & not building anything else, I could swap the carb for something Ethanol safe, but it's going to put a lot of people off the road
