Stinkey, I have been at it since 1965, I'm still envious of them that do it so well  ;D as my age increses, I seem to be losing the edge. One way or another I'm going to keep trying, same with the frog. Scary riding a bike now. But that is my decision, if I go, I go doing it my way, not laid in a bed waiting for god. I have been promised a Viking Funeral, I hope they wait until I'm gone  ;D ;D

These may not look very impressive to you coppersmith but this was Kimmeridge, Dorset yesterday - the waves there are usually broken up and messy but these were really long and even - perfect for paddlesurfers!

I have surfed at Kimmeridge. I actually was in a competition at Kimmeridge one winter, strange place to get into. Slept in the pub carpark at the top of the hill?

Interesting!
Not sure about the pub car park - maybe you mean the cafe car park?  How long ago was that?  I can't recall ever hearing about a competition at Kimmeridge so I reckon it must have been before Lucy took up paddleboarding and paddlesurfing (and all the other varieties of paddling without a canoe!)

My son says it was the Greyhound pub, arranged with the organiser, free as long as we ate there

That's in Corfe Castle.  We usually go to the Bankes Arms across the road.

That big wave photo is stunning. It must be so exhilarating to surf, especially a wave that big. I just like watch. They used to show more surfing programmes on the TV but not so much now, unless I'm looking at the wrong channels.  ???

the people who have bought the island is trying to shut the Pilchard, luxury holiday retreat stuff. We locals are trying to kick up about it, but money talks.

I stayed there in the early '90s when Tony Porter owned it.

Crazy people! You're mad enough just standing out there in the cold taking the photo, let alone venturing out into the water.
