Last taxed in 76 ,
It did look a lot better but its believe to have been ,doctored, for a film , then abandoned in a shed for years where bits were robbed before being sort of rescued then stuck in another shed for 5 or 6 years  ,

Proper old school road trip yesterday to collect it and haul it north ,, got some funny looks coming up the motorway ,, ;)

Great to know you are getting back to it Mike.
Nice Dodge but the Airborne insignia seems incongruous on a USMC truck. :)

What more can you tell me ,olds,  I,v been trying to find out what the different markings mean , if you Google the registration number on Google images it comes up with the vehicle when it was still green , before it was messed about we think it may have been dressed up for a film or TV series,,

I believe for a small fee you can get the ownership history from DVLA Yougov site.  At least, you used to - don't know if the new data laws will have stopped that.

you can still get changes to vehicle, but no names address's etc due to data protection.
same as previous owner is now not listed on v5c document.

The Rider on Pegasus emblem belonged to the UK 1st and 6th Airborne during WW2 later to become 16 Air Support Brigade.
The only time I can think of where that insignia might end up on a M37 would be during the Korean war unless the truck was being used as a prop in a WW2 movie/program as it's almost the same as a WC Dodge of that period.

Cheers olds, as far as we have found out up to now , it was a Korean war issue truck  , and we believe that it has been used as a movie truck  as it was shown at events in the early 70,s I green livery

Can't think of an early 70's Brit made war film off hand but Yanks filmed in 78 up north had a lot of  American military vehicles in it.

Looks like it may have been repainted to US Navy colours (although it says USMC)

Clive it was still green when first on the road over here  if you put the reg into Google images there is a photo of it , I,v tried to save and repost it but it didn't work

At present I,m struggling to find a spare wheel and a couple of tyres as it has already had a blow out ,,

Also would you know the colour name or code for the NATO green , ,,the dark semi gloss colour ,,
Cheers
