Saturday 14th July 10am - 3pm Stowe School, Stowe, Buckingham, MK18 5EH Free entry A celebration of the cars that were the workhorses of their day. The saloons,estates & hatchbacks that took the kids to school, business people to work & families on holiday, but are now becoming rare. Highlight of the show is the Concourse d'lordinaire -50 examples of the best unexceptional cars, built between 1966 & 1989, judged on condition, originality & background story. Previous Best in Show winners have included a Nissan Cherry Europe, Morris Marina pick-up & a Hillman Avenger super estate. There is also a Peoples' Choice trophy. The Feast of the Unexceptional is also returning, so bring your best 70s/80s picnics -Battenburg cake, Curly Wurly bars, cheese & pineapple on sticks & Babycham abound! Those with a classic car can also show it in the separate classic parking area. The setting is the beautiful, classical elegance of Stowe school -a fitting backdrop indeed. |
