Title: Plymouth Firework Championship
Post by: the coppersmith on August 10, 2017, 01:47:34 PM
It is that time of year, evenings are drawing in, time to light up the sky over the Sound. At least it was dry and today is warm so here is hoping for another good evening.

Love that second shot with the boats silouetted against a blood red sea :)

Glad you mentioned the fair ride. Before I read that I thought it was some device to spin fireworks off!  ???  ::) Yes, Specsavers. I know.  :)

Love the other two shots, especially the one Andy mentioned. Fireworks are so hard to photograph but you seem to have the knack. I remember that stunning red one you took last year at the same event.  8)

That's cool! Is that someone stood inside the lighthouse? Great vantage point.

You can go in and up the lighthouse by day. This is a security guy checking that no one was being naughty and sneaking in at night, plus a TV guy was up there for the local show.

All really lovely.  :D

The fireworks are on in Bournemouth every Friday during the school hols and I used to enjoy going but parking was so difficult and people could be quite bolshie. Last week the police were called because some youngsters had got into a fight. I don't like crowds anymore they make me antsy but I do miss the fireworks.  :'(

Has your daughter had any new tattoos?
