Think suave, think Roger Moore. There should be a picture of him under that word in dictionaries. He had a good life so we shouldn't be too sad Doc.

Most of the older Mankies favourite actors, musicians, writers etc that we have grown up with are coming to the age where the odds are against them.

Plus we have accidents and illnesses to cut down the younger favourites such as Nicky Hayden, the former MotoGP champion who died yesterday after a bicycle accident 6 days ago, ironic after all the risks he took on a motorbike!

Chris Cornell, the great raw voiced musician (Soundgarden & Audioslave), succumbed to drugs (including prescription ones) and recently took his own life leaving behind a young family. Chris recorded 'You Know My Name' which was used as the theme for the 2006 James Bond movie Casino Royale. Craig not Moore but kind of full circle.  :-\

Sean Connery was my fav "James Bond" . Am a Soundgarden fan so Mr C' s demise was also sad.

89 is a very good age to live to if you're fit and healthy, which he was till a short while before the end.  I wonder how many youngish actors will be missed as he will?

And mine!  8) I loved watching this series. Unfortunately you never see reruns of it now. I often think that instead of some of the obnoxious stuff they churn out, especially the reality stuff, they should show some of the really good series of the past.

Thinking about it most of these shows had great theme tunes, especially the last two which I'm sure most Mankies will know even if you're not old!  :D

As I'm sure it will be mentioned,  ;D  Baywatch has been remade as a film and it is being released very soon. It stars the lovely Priyanka Chopra who currently stars in the show Quantico.

Im pretty sure the Persuaders has been on a free view channel just recently, Jay Jay.

I recently watched the entire box set of Starsky & Hutch. It's amazing how many genuinely good episodes there were & how many I'd never seen. Same with Thunderbirds. I always thought I'd seen them all, but think I'd only actuslly seen the same half a dozen episodes over & over again. Sounds daft, but some of the acting in that -just a look or a small gesture- was brilliant.

Jay jay oldmetalhead82 is right,they are showing the Persuaders at the moment on Freeview,2 episodes at a time,right after the first series of the Avengers. But I can't remember the channel at the moment. :P They also show quite a lot of the ones you have on your list as well.

Thanks. I have looked it up and it seems to be on the True Entertainment channel.  I must have the channel as I have Sky so I will check it out tomorrow. Mind you I'm watching too much tele at the moment. I am currently trying to watch the American series NCIS from the beginning. It is now in its 14th season. I've already managed to watch the first four seasons but now the recording is all over the place, as different channels run different seasons and episodes. ???   :)

Ha, yes CHips, they obviously didn't have flies or bees in LA, shades and open face being the normal headgear if I recal.....
