Title: Re: hayride Post by: JayJay on July 31, 2011, 07:48:54 PM forgot to say took some 1770 odd pics and vids over the weekend. now to go through them all You forgot to say it is because you kept taking those 30 frame a second action shots Dave! ;) Chevy Rick, Alfie and I had a great time. Like you said, weather was great; there were loads of interesting motors providing a soundtrack of burbly engine noises that never got annoying; loads of interesting people from all over the place, the majority dressed the part; loads of interesting conversations, entertainment and goodies to buy, and many old and new friends who we will hopefully see again next year (or even sooner Dave). On the Saturday we went to Dunsfold Park airfield where we watched some brave Hayriders drag race their cars, trucks and/or bikes along the track. It was really good. Very entertaining. The bragging rights went to a very fast rodded Morris. This excursion culminated in the take off of the DC3 Dave mentioned. A Rodder, the chap who started all the drag races with great enthusiasm and aplomb, was filmed racing the plane as it took off! That video is probably already on YouTube. Overall, another great experience at Bisley. Cannot recommend it enough. I am sure Rick will soon post his photos. As for me, I think I need a few days to recover. JJ :) Title: Re: hayride Post by: renegade53 on July 31, 2011, 08:34:23 PM but edited down its down to about 750 so goes to show how many were action shots. they'll be made into videos. on with some pics.

Title: Re: hayride Post by: 53catalina on August 01, 2011, 08:35:34 PM Re the airconditioning:
I think you fill up the inside with straw and ice, and then the air blows through and into the car. Alledged to be very good, and most rusted out many years ago due to the water being left in them hence the rarity. Title: Re: hayride Post by: skiprat on August 02, 2011, 08:33:51 AM I must get along to one of these one day, even if its just to sit and dribble at all the beautiful woman :) LOL
Im regularly at Bisley, mostly training and shooting, but never made the time or found the money to do a hayride, shame on me!! Title: Re: hayride Post by: wizzkitt on August 02, 2011, 04:51:50 PM not sure on these bikes On the left is Eddie on his lovely little T100A, and on the right a 350cc Gold Star which was, I think, running a 500cc lump. It was pretty fast and won the bike drags anyway! And hats off to the guy dragging the Harley who only had one hand - and the bike had a hand shift. What a fantastic weekend it was. Still grinning. ;D Title: Re: hayride Post by: panthershaun on August 02, 2011, 08:39:33 PM cheers Dave.... hey Archie hows this..
