Its a really laid back event, if you want to set up a pitch, you just turn up and pay ya money...... nice. Gates opened at 08:00, I got there about 20 past and folk were rumaging away, so not wanting to be left out I joined in. There wasn't a lot on my shopping list, but I did want to get hold hold of a Suzuki GT380 sprocket-carrier as the one I have for a project was found to be cracked, so I delved in and asked the stall holders, alas, no luck..... Then a guy who'd just arrived started unloading, and out of the van came a complete wheel (tyre n all), so figured I'd ask how much (if ya don't ask and all that....), £10 said the man, job done said I. Result ;D Quite a few folk turn up on their restored bikes, so its worth having a nose around the bike park too.... nostalgia and all that............... I took some snaps of the jumble for the site, and then popped over to Farnham for a vehcile gathering in aid of a local charity, there'll be a couple of snaps of Farnham at http://www.mankymonkeymotors.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=9151.0 This stall had a few Fizzies (Yamaha FS1E mopeds), and at sensible prices too. Title: Re: VJMC Jumble - Badshot Lea - 3rd April 2011 Post by: Tony oily bike on April 03, 2011, 03:53:50 PM A very tidy Gilera 50RS trail moped (can't remember the last time I saw on of these... well maybe I can, and that would be about 1976 ;D).
Title: Re: VJMC Jumble - Badshot Lea - 3rd April 2011 Post by: Tony oily bike on April 03, 2011, 03:56:03 PM Suzuki 250, think its a Hustler. J reg puts it about 1970. The bike has a 1970 road tax disc on it too (and a current one!)
Title: Re: VJMC Jumble - Badshot Lea - 3rd April 2011 Post by: Tony oily bike on April 03, 2011, 03:57:20 PM Yamaha air cooled RD400, same colour as the one I had around 1982.
Title: Re: VJMC Jumble - Badshot Lea - 3rd April 2011 Post by: Tony oily bike on April 03, 2011, 04:00:44 PM Yeah I know its a greasy old wheel (GT380), but I was pleased to find it for a tenner............... just right for a project (which isn't a GT380 ???)

Title: Re: VJMC Jumble - Badshot Lea - 3rd April 2011 Post by: Tony oily bike on April 03, 2011, 04:07:21 PM This had me head scratching a bit.
Honda used to make a bike that looked like this called a Phil Read Replica, but I think this is someone's own adaption to the theme as the bike looks like it could be the next generation (or so) on from the original. Nicely done. :) Title: Re: VJMC Jumble - Badshot Lea - 3rd April 2011 Post by: Tony oily bike on April 04, 2011, 05:22:16 PM Another shot of the tidy Honda, showing an 'X' reg plate.
