SVA cost £105 I think and New registration Cert £50 new number plates and a couple of days off work! An SVA means you will need a new chassis number avaiable from the DVLA. The SVA takes about 3 to 4 hours cos the test and measure just about everthing. You then go to the DVLA for an inspection and then you get a new REG number and V5 A DVLA inspection involves someone coming out and looking at the trike and going ahhh it's a trike. In this case however because the details on the V5 don't appear to match the vehicle they will say sorry. You need an SVA. Only trikes that have an unmodified chassis (Bike or Car) will pass the DVLA inspection without an SVA if it's already registered as another vehicle.
