Are they still called Jaffa Cakes in Taiwanese? I thought Victory Vs were something like Fishermen's Friends, those godawful throat lozenge things.

Jaffa cakes should only be eaten after being dipped in tequila!

You can buy Fisherman's Friends in virtually every shop in South-East Asia! They're next to the dried squid in the sweety section. And I'm not joking. Lea and Perrins Worcester sauce is also extremely popular.

Flatterer -he was only joking about the Jaffa cakes you know -& the kiss. Well maybe. I can't take credit for the presentation -that's all down to the magnificent Mr Yodles of old Birmingham town. He handles all the clever techy bits, I'm just the pretty public face. I do most of the photographicking & wordy stuff -& hassle the newbies to contribute something -hint, hint.  ;)
Remember that Reliant Regent that got photoshopped on Chopperbuilder? It lives locally so as soon as Lunatic tracks it down for us we'll put it in the Motors section. Always on the look out for interesting vehicles of any description to feature, show write ups, photos etc. Consider yourself hassled!   ;D

Our rep in the Chopper Club hated sprouts, so at Christmas one of the guys bought some Ferero Roche(sp), meled them down, dipped some suitably sized sprouts in the choccy and rewrapped/reboxed them.

How we laughed ;D

Has someone got a pic of that Reliant Regent, if its the one I'm thinking of it only lives 10 houses away from me.

i know its all about personal choice Manky, but that has to be pushing the boundary's of good taste !! That,s specialised that is ! ;D  I bet theirs web sites for that. ;)  Marmite!   I can understand the cake thing, quite partial myself, but MARMITE.

Don't worry, we've done the Marmite thread before & I'm definitely in the "ICK!" camp. Can't stand even the smell of the stuff!
The Reliant piccie was taken by yours truly at the Basingstoke Transport Festival. Check the Rally/Show Photos section. If you're into just about any kind of vintage vehicle it's well worth a visit. Held in early May. I'll be interested to hear what the little old guy who owns the Regent thinks of the photoshopped version of his pride & joy!

My bruv used to eat cheese & lemon curd sandwiches?  jeeeez they were disgusting :o

My sister used to like peanut butter with jam.   Until dad told us that the currants weren't really currants they were dead flies - yuck.

I'm surrounded by nutters! Everyone knows there's only one true Jaffa cake. Lime?! Pah! I've seen strawberry ones too but refuse to try them. I'm a cakey traditionalist. Can't beat the originals.

Ive been known to buy a steak/kidney pie, tear the top off and unload awhole tube of english mustard into it,mmmm thats nice, better than shop bought cake,  :)

I'd just like to say thanks to Janie & Dave for coming over today & slogging away on my trike frame with the hand files in a very hot 'n' sticky garage. Very much appreciated guys. Not only did it save me a lot of work but it's kick-started my enthusiasm to push on & get the damn thing done! Thank you.
I'd also like to point out that although they arrived with a big bag of cake they ate the lot themselves! One Jaffa cake I had! One! All day.
And fish & chips  ;D

I nearly fell off my chair (its a long way down you now).

Excuse me sir, but may I protest loudly, there were two boxes of jaffa cakes, two packets of biscuits and a box of angel cake.  Dave had to stop filing because his thumbs were hurting so much ...... perhaps nige can back us up.  :P

What happened to them all then?! Not a crumb of Angel cake passed my lips, (don't actually like it), & just a SINGLE Jaffa cake. Either Nige has got some very sneaky mice in that garage or Dave ate more than he let on! Chips were nice though.   ;D

My stomach is hurting from laughing, its nearly midnight so I better keep the decibles down.
