Title: Good quality Reliant brakes spares
Post by: Brant on November 24, 2010, 06:48:59 PM
I have to renew all brake parts on a Reliant axle and want to avoid poor quality parts but being new to this game I don't yet know which sellers are good and which are not.  Will be grateful if you guys would recommend a supplier who doesn't deal in trash (or say which ones to avoid).

If they are drums, why don't you covert to disc it probably wont cost much more.

I always recommend Michaels of Selby. Haven't bought any Reliant parts for a couple of years, but they've always been very helpful & knowledgable.

Thanks to all.

Fit discs?  Didn't occur to me but I've got info on the conversion so will compare cost.

A well set up set of drums should be just as efficient as discs, but I prefer discs, just because they look simpler, tidier & sportier.

I have the original Reliant drum brakes on my GT550 trike and they can lock up the wheels if I'm not careful how I use them!

definetly go for discs . drums just look too old fashioned , discs look modern.

good reason to stick with the drums then  :D :D :D ;)
