Title: GOT AN EMAIL THIS MORNING.
Post by: hunter on November 23, 2010, 11:23:17 AM
Hi all,
Please read below

This one appears genuine.....

Postal Scam:
Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it
has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making
people aware of the following scam:
A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel
Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and
that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).
DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.
If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will
already have been billed £315 for the phone call.
If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail
Fraud on 020 7239 6655.
For more information, see the Crime Stoppers website:

yea i remeber this one from a few years back as well , the one to watch or listen for is the " were calling from micrsoft and your computer has a virus " if you here this comming through your phone hang up , if they get you to go onto your computer they will trick you into letting them take control of it and show you the events log viewer so you panick and give them your card details , but by then they will have gone through as much of you machine a possible set up an account with a company LIKE paypal ( i cant remember the name ) but NOT paypal. this will have your credit card and bank account linked to it.

my sister in law got had by them nad i managed to change the password for the online bank account and stopped them getting in , she had call her bank and credit card comp and they intern call the fraud squad, and all movement in her accounts are still being monitored by them.

lets just say microsoft will never phone you !!!!
