Way too hot for this ol' Monkey.
Haven't done any work on my trike for weeks now. By the time I've spent the morning trudging the streets in the blazing sun, lugging 8 or 9 bags of mail about, (one at a time, not all together!), I get home absolutely shattered. Completely pooped. No oomph left at all. Oomphless. I've been either sleeping or just slumping in a heap on the sofa & doing nothing all afternoon.
Bring back the rain I say!

Know what you  mean. have spent loads of time in the workshop but it's toooooooo hot to get much done. Have cleared out loads of rubbish and junk and organised most of my tools. Time well spent me thinks ;D

Repaired the front bumper on my Capri. Some daft woman reversed into me just before Xmas and pushed in the bumper, valance etc >:(. Stripped off the paint straightened the mounts and repainted it with hamerite till I get a new bumper. Looks like the car is cared for now ;D

laid out the wiring loom on the XS1100 trike. Need a ballast resistor then I can fire up the engine. Have made a prop shaft just need to weld it together.

Got the seat now and will try and get that fitted over  the next couple of days.

Have also been cleaning up a beetle engine to sell.


Got so overheated on Thursday that I fell asleep on the sofa around 8.30pm and woke up at 6.15am  in the same place ???

I did that one day last week -fell asleep at lunchtime when I got home from work, woke at 7.30 in the evening. It was still light so I thought it was 7.30 in the morning & I was late for work!
Sounds like you've been a busy bunny though. I've really got to hit my trike frame hard in the next couple of weeks & get it done. Just getting bogged down in it lately & getting nowhere. Want to be out there riding it, but it gets depressing when I think about how much I've got left to do on it!
