Title: Pinstriped spam? Post by: Manky Monkey on June 11, 2006, 09:05:36 PM Received via email today:
Just a quick hello from Pinstriping UK – fantastic site – would like to mention it in one of our newsletters soon if that is OK. And would really appreciate a link on the site. Spotted a couple of pics of Kris striping at Billing Fun Run on the Desoto, plus Suze & Pike, is it OK to lift these to use there too? many thanks Kind regards Lynda & Kris www.pinstripinguk.com Tel: 07947 695640 or 0116 283 7651 THE #1 Source for Pinstriping Products & Services IN the UK & EU Yes, maybe it's spam, but I don't mind. I met these guys at the Billing Aquadrome Rodrun & I'm happy to give 'em a plug. Really don't want the site to go all commercial but if someone's genuinely involved in the custom scene & runs a business that helps other customisers, why not? As with the MCN girl, I've asked 'em to drop in here & say Hi. Hope they do. Title: Re: Pinstriped spam? Follow up email: Ho , thanks for that, regret not at Nostalgia Nats, lost the plot on where we are, but know we are somewhere, I will add you to the mailing list for the newsletter if you like so you can see when your stuff goes in, Probably use it in August issue (out end of July) We are hoping that over time, this little E Zine may turn into the UK's first true Pinhead enthusiast mag, but you never know, even if it stays as an E zine, its OK. Your write ups are ace too. Regards the striping, Kris makes it look real easy and I am pleased you like his work on the Desoto. We were at the Deva Dub n Rod show this weekend at Shrewsbury that was an interesting diversion for us to try and widen the market so to speak, and guess what there he was on the show and shine, and getting lots of admiration. Kris did some VW's this weekend, they were a little surprised I think - not used to pinstripers being available but we need to spread the word wide and clear. As to having a go why not its only practice, if you check out the site, you can get beginners starter kits to have a go or join one of the course later this year, you'd have a great time. Anyway be in touch. Many thanks for the permissions - once again really nice site and good photos. Post by: lunatic on June 16, 2006, 10:17:09 AM Bought a nice brush from these guys. They were very helpful when I was first getting my striping stuff together. Should be good enough to do other peoples cars when mankey finishes his rod! ;)

O.K, the bootlid of the rod or the tank of the trike, whichever gets on the road first! |
