Title: hotrod nostalgia on YouTube Post by: Manky Monkey on August 08, 2010, 04:20:15 PM Just browsing YouTube & came across this film footage from various 70s rod runs. I rememeber some of these cars, including Ray Cristopher's V8 milk float, which we mentioned here recently.

Wonder what would happen if someone was to build a hotrod like that now. Would it get through BIVA???? The milk float was the business too. One of those iconic cars everyone remembers. There seemed to be a lot more enthusiasm & imagination about it all back in the 70s, with guys churning out cars every other week. Maybe they just didn't worry about regulations so much then.

Talking of Revenge, I saw Mr Butler driving down Guildford High Street in it (again, a looonng while ago) as I was riding up, so I turned round, caught up with him in traffic and asked if he was going to a local event that was coming up (guessing it was a drag meeting at Blackbushe?? Show how long ago it was doesn't it!) Nostalgia isn't what it used to be! |
