Title: Headlamps....... Post by: RODeo on August 04, 2010, 06:19:11 AM In this jelly of a brain ,I seem to remember asking about this ,but I dont think I got a definitive answer.....So ,here we go again......
Im using 2 headlamps mounted symmetrically side by side. Both with sidelights in. MSVA wise ,what do I need ? Both have main ,dip and side lights? Wired so that main beams come on together ,dips on together and sides together? As usual, thanks oh gurus of the thrice wheel......... Rod Title: Re: Headlamps....... Title: Re: Headlamps....... Post by: ByzMax on August 06, 2010, 11:49:45 AM If they are side by side then they need to be one dipped and one main. Not sure about the side light but at least one needs one I believe.
If you want to run them as twins like you have they must mounted no more than 400mm from the widest point on the vehicle (your rear wheels) even though the lights are at the front and must be I think 500mm apart. All measurements taken to the outer edge of the lens surface. I'm sure someone with a manual will confirm this or at least part of it! ;D Title: Re: Headlamps....... Post by: Cabman77 on August 06, 2010, 01:47:51 PM are the rules different for bikes then Byzmax? I`ve got a ducati front end in the shed and the twin headlamps are both dip and main.
