Post by: Chevy Rick on May 21, 2010, 10:30:48 PM
Visited Roy yesterday at his workshop in Four Marks, Hants and he tells me he's set a date for Sunday 13th June 2010 for his Hotrod meet, at the Windmill pub, on the A31 in Four Marks, (between Alton and Winchester).
Contact 01420-588258 for more info.

I believe Lunatic, Archie & some of their buddies will be there.
I'd half intended to be. Also fancied doing the steam fair in Wiltshire. As it was I didn't wake up till nearly lunchtime, (too many early starts & late nights taking their toll), so I'm having a quiet day at home for a change. Hope it's going well there chaps.

Yes, saw Lunatic and met Archie (nice to meet you and put a face to a name) but apart from NeilG and Justine from Hampshire Bygones I didn't see any other Mankys (well apart from Chevy Rick! ;D).

The event was very well attended and it was a nice laid back event.   Rick, Alfie and I got there quite early but the Windmill car park slowly filled up and in the end it was hard to find a space.  There was a good mix of bikes and cars and as well as many individuals attending, there was a good representation from various clubs including Victory Wheelers and the Solent Renegades.  Not many trikes at the event but Baz was there on his V8.  Always nice to see him, a lovely chap.  Also nice to see plenty of families at the event, especially as there is a nice play area for the children at the pub.

The weather was kind, there was food available and a band that covered a good array of tunes.  Something for everyone.

Rick and I left about 3:30 after arriving about 10ish.  Rick has taken loads of photos but I also took a few as I am trying to get used to a borrowed camera so I can take some pics at next week's Beaulieu event.

Well done Roy - looking forward to the next one.  ;D

The photo No.6 looks like a bit of a serious plan coming together.

Well if you look close enough you can see that someone has drunk a Cup of tea. Lets hope it wasn't laced with extra sugar.  ;D
