JJ :) Title: Re: Snow Madness Post by: panthershaun on December 22, 2009, 10:32:24 AM ;D ;D ;D ;D just think how much fun the Pop's will be in the snow mate ;D thats if we can get them off the drive ::) ::) ::) might have to get some winter tread tyres for mine ;) ;)
The old Land Rover excelled itself over the weekend, got me into work on time Friday morning (04-30) and I went out collecting managers who couldn't get into work, can't believe I was being paid to play in the snow ;D I was driving the old girl around the back lanes sometimes in over 2 foot of snow, took a mate up the shop and decided to show him how well she goes and ventured into a deserted set of garages, snow drift of around 5 foot (over bonnet height) didn't stop us, drove most of the time in 2 wheel drive. Took a boss who lives in the country home, he lives down a very steep single lane track which noone had braved all day. Me and the beast made it down and back up again past several abandoned chelsea tractors. She may not be the best looking around but god is she fun in weather like this ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: Snow Madness Post by: BikerGran on December 22, 2009, 11:39:04 AM Just seen a post on FB from a bloke I know whose car is looking a little sick and sorry after a bad day yesterday - first he hit a deer on the way to work, then he slid and hit a bank with the front, rebounded and hit the other bank with the rear.
I sent him the link to your vid and told him he was driving the wrong vehicle - he's got a Landy at home! Title: Re: Snow Madness Post by: Manky Monkey on December 22, 2009, 11:47:30 AM I saw 2 cars slide into each other in the snow in Basingstoke yesterday. They didn't even bother getting out to survey the damage, just shrugged & plodded on.

Title: Re: Snow Madness Post by: voodoo on December 22, 2009, 11:13:57 PM More than a few years back I had a 61 Caddy convertable with a knackered hood that i drove all one winter,we got some very strange looks at the motorway services when we started playing car v car snowball fights with a few of our mates that were in classic cars(Consul and a PA cresta)...each car had a few people in but i had the advantage of no roof so we were not all trying to hang out of the windows to throw them....it ended up as near on stock car racing thx to a few ft of snow and us getting carried away.......I ended up parked on top of what was left of a bench....too much power not enough grip!....oh the joys of playing in the snow....lol.....Voodoo....
