Title: Reliant Axle / Halfshaft Info
Post by: trikerpete on December 16, 2009, 01:50:44 PM
Has anyone got a loose halfshaft they can give me a measurement from? Im needing the distance from splined end of shaft to the inner/chamfered face of the collar that fits inside the oil seal. Ive just pressed off the hubs/bearings/collar and would like to double check this measurement for when I replace collars.
Maybe someone has an exploded drawing of diff/shafts they could also send me, any input would be good.
 :)

Hi Pete. the collar has larger internal bore than the bearing. so when you slide the collar on then press the bearing on it will push the bearing up to the stop on the half shaft. any way the measurement is 542mm (not manky monkeys) from splines to back of collar. i will try to post pics later
