Title: Next Trike?
Post by: morrag on November 20, 2009, 09:32:16 PM
About 18 months ago I bought this 750, with a view to triking it. Well, mods. to Littlewing, my Honda trike, and some bypass surgery, got in the way of that plan, so it was late Summer by the time I got round to giving it a bit of a "looking at".I then remembered how much I disliked the "Mid-Atlantic" riding style it had,so decided to simply modify it to a more traditional, older fashioned Brit. touring style that I grew up with. and felt more comfortable with. The pics. show the results, what do you think?. Nothing too drastic, Renthall polished alloy bars, on standard height risers, that I modified from a Suzuki. Footrests moved back by 4", with a standard roadster gearlever fitted, and a modified Honda brake lever. Rear numberplate raised 4", and the stanchions moved up 2" through the yokes. The whole plot now feels much more "rideable" and stable, whilst retaining a low seat height, handy for those of a more vertically challenged persuasion!!Its so nice to ride now that I shall probably keep it as a solo for a while, sooooo......where that Reliant Engine and box I left around the back!!...I shall keep y'all posted!..Morrag

Very tidy Mr M. I've always preferred flat bars to pull backs myself. Much less arm ache. That's a lovely condition example of the breed. Can't be too many of them left now.
