hello fellow super inteligent monkeys today i read in 100% biker that yellow top enginend reliants have a higher ratio back axle in them and that a large increase in wheel size could adversely affect engine performance as i am intending to run 18 inch wheels with hopefully 60 series tyres would this be a large problem or would you advise finding a low ratio axle  ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ::) ;D

yep it will affect performance i reckon your better off with a van or regal axle the later preferably as they ran 13in wheels which would be better suited to the wheels your going to use ;)

Err, I thought yellow top was on the high comp engines. I have 2 with yellow tops and they are both high comp, could be coincidence though.

Yep original yellow tops are higher compression.
